Holly Mother of... it's been over two years since the last time I posted something.. I know I may not have any followers anymore...and my life in NYC has been quite a mix of extravagant and amazing places as well as stormy and questionable situations.

Somehow  I have found myself at... wait... I don't really know where I stand right now,  but at the end of the day, it has all been a great mix. I now found myself 3 years and a half after the day I arrived to NYC... and I have to say... it has been quite a ride, from school to internships to a job... and not knowing where I stand... I find myself today, at my NY apartment, joined by a bottle of wine and an old episode of friends and all I can think of is... how much my life is unlike I thought it would be... not worse and not better, just entirely different.

Anyway, I will try to write more often, if not for anyone else for me... refound what I first loved so much about fashion, and after all, this is NYC, the home of Street style!! Might as well...right?

Raf Simons for Dior

It's been more than a year since Galliano's rampage… and finally, yesterday April 9th Dior appointed designer RAF SIMONS as Creative director of the house. His first collection will be shown during Couture Week in July.

The belgian designer, who was Jil Sander's creative director for 10 years, announced his leaving the house after his highly praised Fall 12 show in Milan. It is rumored than even John Galliano gave his praises to this show.

Simons promises a new modern Dior, without forgetting to look back at its aesthetic legacy. After all, he is only the 6th designer to be in charge of the House of Dior, preceeded by Christian Dior, Yves Sait Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferre and John Galliano.

I have to say, I am not the biggest Jil Sander fan, but I'm interested to see what this talented designer has to offer.

Here are some images of his latest collections.

Kate Moss For W

This March 2012 W Magazine got me at first sight!!! Why?? Well I was looking for a book at Hudson News in Grand Central Station, when all of the sudden a cover just got my eye and for some reason I could not stop looking at it, so of course as I draw nearer I see that Kate Moss is the person looking at me straight in the eye… The photo is just beautiful, one of the best covers I've seen in years…so of course I had to open it right away.

Well let's just say W did not disappoint, this is by far one of the most interesting editorials I have seen, and the name says it all "She's no angel" BRILLIANT… eclectic and barroque, simple but complicated, angelic but devilish!  I absolutely loved it… check it out:

The Row’s embroidered silk caftan. VBH Luxury white gold and diamond necklace; Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring; Carolina Amato gloves.
Max Mara’s black wool tweed jacket and black wool tweed skirt. Pam Hogg headpiece; Shaneen Huxham gloves; Miu Miu shoes.

Rochas’s black satin bodysuit. Paul Hanlon custom headpiece; Shaneen Huxham gloves; Alexander McQueen hand piece; Céline belt and shoes.

So what do you think… for me this is a tremendous job, and a real work of art…love it love it love it… and of course Kate looks amazing. But truly the styling is brilliant and the scenery and photographs are beyond!!! Just simply Amazing!! Good job W!!!
